21 August 2012 marks the 70th Anniversary of the crash of Stirling R9329 which came down in Devon returning from a Gardening Operation in the Gironde Estuary. All on board were killed.
Some of the relatives of the crew met up this weekend for a memorial service in the local church near the crash site and then laid floral tributes on the memorial at the crash sites itself.
I'm still in Devon but I'll post some photos when I get home. I also met an eye-witness to the crash which
was fascinating to hear what happened.
