I was going to fall into the trap!! in thinking it's the aircraft this site is dedicated to, only because of the intakes on top of the engines, but i'm going for a Sunderland, and if my eyes are not deceiving me, there may be a very faint coastline in the background

I agree with David, something not quite right about the intake, and I think the engines are mounted a little higher on a Sunderland.
Next thought is a Halifax, yeah, I'll stick with that, looks like a Halifax to me 8-)

I think there might be a bit missing from the rear of the intake for a Halifax - but any way it is nice to have a debate? Rather than a smarta*** getting it right immediately. Any takers for a 4 engined Wellington? ;)

I'm going to go for a Stirling, just because it may be a too obvious choice, not sure about a Halifax because of the lowish wing mounting. And definatley too low for a radial Lanc, yep!! Stirling.

Thanks for that confirmatiuon, i have to say that i was convinced it was a Stirling from the start, but, thought it too close to home, which is why i went for the Sunderland. Wayne stuffed that one when i looked closer at the stubs, so the only other alternative was the "joker" in the pack.
