Stirlings Longest Operations???

Post by K4KittyCrew »

Thought I'd ask members to post details of Short Stirlings longest operations.
If we can all join in, we may come up with some interesting details that may not of known of.
Date / Aircraft / Squadron / Distance / Time, will be helpful.

Cheers,
John

I would think that some of the Italian trips would count as being longest

Thanks Alan and Dave. I hope more operation details keep coming through.

Alan, you mention Italy but how far did Stirlings fare into Germany?

Dave, would certainly like to see a larger image of your father's crew.
Thanks for posting it. Any queries, please PM me.
Cheers,
John

Hi John,
Looking at maps, i would think that Turin was further (as thew crow flies) than any German target, but i stand to be corrected. I agree that Dave's photo is a nice image, but would be a lot better larger.
