Great picture mate, don't you think that these same chaps three years after the end of the European war now look "old" men. I have a photo of a chap from 218 taken on completion of his operational tour in 1944. I also have a photo of him taken in 1951, seven years on... he looks in his fifties, he was in fact still only 29.
Very atmospheric, and I just love the pint jugs, all full of glorious bitter!!!

Yes, it's really quite scary! Apparently my uncle Tom was shot down over Palestine, when he left on the sortee he had a full head of brown hair, and within a week it was pure white!
