4D Stirling - Under Construction
Hi All
My Stirling is coming together a little more now so I thought you might like to follow its progress!
There is another 'half' to it which is added by 'mirroring' the side you can see and takes about 3 seconds to do but a cut-away looks better I think for now.
There is no particular colour scheme - like a solid model the painting comes after the build. This is a WIP and so there are still many errors and omissions at the moment.
Cheers
James

Fantastic work James.
It gives an idea of how very large the Stirling was.
Looking forward to following your updates.

Awesome work as always James. really shows the size of the old girl doesn't it.....
FYI, we assembled the first part of the bomb bay jig at the weekend, this is one of the longitudinal beams to support the bomb keel and in itself is 17' long. when you think that the fuselage will overhang this by a further 8' at least it's a huge undertaking

Possibly what the Dash looked like at night..... Probably should have set the dials at more interesting angles! Some bits missing though!
Remember that this image was what would appear to a pilot at night and with his eyes adjusted for night vision. So the (only) way to view it is in a darkened room with the image filling the screen, otherwise the lines will be just too dim to see.
These are only test renders as I model the A/C, they should get much better!

The main Part of the cockpit is 99% there - including Control Column, Pedals, seats and Throttle Box. Next will be the controls alongside the Pilot.

Hi John
No problem at all - take what you want - I can do any particular angles/shots if you need them.
Same for anyone else too.
Cheers

Hi All
Spontaneously decided the add the parts that link the two wings on the Stirling to the main spars on either side. There is a much wider space between the two spars than you might think from the photos,
Thought that you might like to see the assembly without the rest of the aircraft! The joints aren't exact yet, I''l fix that when I get onto adjusting the wings. Back to the Radio gear now!
I don't plan to add all the wing struts except the ones I have to for the bomb bay and the wheel bays
