John ,
These are great photos of mostly Canadian kites, thank you for posting them!
I have a connection with a few of these kites:
405 sqdn - "The Ruhr Valley Express" was W/C Bill Swetman's personal kite. I did a set of ops records for him in the 80's.
427 sqdn ZL-L "L for Lana" this kite's replacement (a MK 3) was my uncle's crew's (F/L Bob Garvin DFC- pilot) personal kite on the Lion sqdn.
427 sqdn NP957 (Ville de Quebec) ZL-L was my uncle's kite while on 427, mentioned above. His crew did the balance of their tour in this kite.
408 sqdn "Ol Daid Eye" was my father's friend's kite (P/O Danny Shutka) on the Goose Sqdn. This logo was painted just ahead of Danny's office, the rear turret.
I have a photo of Danny sitting in his turret, beside the logo.
"Oscar" was a 420 sqdn kite, my father's sqdn. We have several of his personal photos of this kite.
Cheers.
Paul

Amazing what a small world it is, Paul. Glad you like them. I always like seeing nose art from types of RAF aircraft.

Found these already grouped together. Haven't checked to see if we already have them listed.

This photo was posted by Tony Hibberd on the 'Bomber Command Memorial Book' Facebook Group site with the following caption:

The last picture is particularly evocative. You could find that caravan on any GA airfield - but not the old towing truck!
