The Aeroplane Spotter 1942

Post by ME453 »

Before volunteering for the RAF and subsequent pilot training, my father was a member of the Royal Observer Corps and subscribed to fortnightly issues of "The Aeroplane Spotter" paper, at the princely sum of 6d. I have several bound volumes and numerous unbound copies - they were my reading material as a child! I was browsing one this morning and found the following 2 Stirling-related cartoons, posted for your amusement!

Thanks Steve, she's not a beast of great beauty....but strangely attractive nonetheless. I guess it's all to do with character!
