Re: ww2 Formation Flying Photos .....
Nice photo of the Hurri's taking off. First ever book i read as a mere 6-7 year old, was Fly for your Life, the story of Bob Tuck. Still have it on the bookshelf amongst all my other B.O.B orientated books. I was fully engrossed in the B.O.B. period from a very early age until i "slipped" over to an even greater interest in Bomber Command in later years, which came about after reading a copy of "Strike Hard Strike Sure" by Ralph Barker.
There is no paralell in warfare, to such courage and determination in the face of danger, over so long a period. Such devotion, should never be forgotten.

Re: ww2 Formation Flying Photos .....
Nice one, Tom. Being that they flew mostly at night, we don't get to see too many Stirlings, Halifaxes & Lancasters flying in formation.
Cheers,
John

Here is an absolutely stunning photograph that captures the moment before a formation of FW 190,s meet a formation of B24,s
I shudder to think of what's about to transpire.
