Many thanks to jamesinnewcastle for some wonderful information as regards the crash of Stirling Mk3 LK517. This aircraft was on a training flight from RAF Wigsley when it crashed onto the Co-op farm in Shildon Co Durham on 31 May 1944 at around 1715 hours. The crew of 7 were all killed. There appear...
