G'day Stuart,
I've had a look but can't see any of that particular aircraft - sorry!

Re: 467 Sqn 'Ton Up' Lanc
G'day Stuart, There would have been multiple JO-Ts. The JO, as you no doubt know, denotes 463 Squadron and the T is the individual aircraft code letter. So there would be a JO-A, JO-B, JO-C etc etc on strength at any one time. When the current JO-D went missing or was damaged or was otherwise made u...

Don Huxtable DFC LdH
I'm terribly sad to record the passing of one of 463 Squadron's finest, Don Huxtable, in a Sydney hospital overnight. Don was one of the first veterans I ever met and was very much one of the legends of 463 Squadron. A number of forum members met him in Canberra several years ago who would probably ...

Re: A Thousand Shay Fall
I got mine through that South American river place John - fairly cheap paperback and the print quality's appalling for some of the photos, but the words are the important part.

Re: Dennis Over
No it's not. You can search by author.sorting out Dennis' posts from over 30000 posts was difficult.
I was in the process of doing exactly that, and copying the text from Dennis' posts (with his permission) when the forum disappeared. Ended up with maybe 80 of them.

At Last The Teabag Can Be Retired
I managed to arrange a visit to drag open the metaphorical hangar doors with Dennis and Peggy while in the UK in 2010. He even treated me to a cup of tea from the famous "reuseable teabag", which I am certain can now breathe a sigh of relief and finally be retired... There's a photo ...

Re: Flight sequence for which aircraft?
Looks to me like a fairly generic set of checklists for a twin of the era Kerry - did the Oxford have power-operated undercarriage retraction or was it also a case of "get the bloke in the other seat to wind the handle 1,528 times" like the Anson? I guess the answer may lie in which twin-e...

Re: WC Eric Langlois - Logbook!!!
To throw a different light on that quote Max, I was talking to Bill Purdy (463 Sqn skipper) at the Canberra weekend earlier this year - he mentioned that when he was instructing at OTU after his tour he had three students in particular. The first two were very good - with one he frequently hardly ev...

Re: WC Eric Langlois - Logbook!!!
Great stuff Kerry - Holy Grail's right! Should fill in a lot of the holes nicely. Last year a niece of Dale Johnston, the wireless op in my great uncle's crew, unexpectedly got in touch with me via my blog, of all things. She has his logbook which she scanned for me - which makes it three logbooks (...
