Hi Dom, Very interesting! Even if the Stirling could easily tow the 'big' Hamilcar, only the 38 Group Halifaxes Squadrons (298 & 644 Squadrons) flew operational missions with Hamilcar gliders. I don't know why Halifaxes Squadrons were chosen and not Stirling Squadrons. It is also said that the c...
