technical data

Post by tkaniuka »

Hello,

Great work and so wonderful to see all of this. I am struggling to find data on the control surfaces of a mk1 or mk3. That is area, incidence, sweep angle of deflection etc. Any help and of direction would be helpful.

Hi Ted, please email info@stirlingproject.co.uk (the Stirling Aircraft Project) and I will try to check with the team what technical data we have in this area.
What's your reason for the interest? Are you building an RC model?
Cheers, Andy

Wow - you are fantastic - I am modeling the Stirling for a flight simulator. Did the mkIII have more wing area or did the mki-iii all share the same surface area? There are sources saying 1420 sq ft too. You folks are great!

Hi

The official documentation states 1,322 sq ft for both the MkI and the MKIII main planes, it would have been a massive undertaking to have changed it given the war footing. You must choose who is likely to be correct.
