Squadron Leader Tony David Lambert DFC

Post by smudgersmith218 »

Hi all,

Looking for a photo of the former pilot. Served with 218 flying Wellingtons in 1941, awarded a DFC on completion of his tour. Returned to 218 in early 1943 and started second tour on Stirlings. On August 7th 1943 was posted as a flight commander to the No.620 Squadron. He was shot down and made PoW while attacking Peenemunde, August 17th 1943. He passed away 2006.

Any gen or photo's welcome.

Cheers gents.
