That's a very generous amount of plane you've given us there John, thanks alot! I'd hazard a guess at a late Mark Spitfire, possibly a Mk 19?

I think you might be fooling us!! The underwing radiators are too shallow for a Spitfire i think, so first thought of something completely different. Then I wondered about a Spiteful or Seafang. But in thinking, I'll go with my first thought of something like a captured Me109.

The Spiteful and Seafang's wheels fold inwards though Alex so it can't be those, though I admit that was my first thought too. The radiator is shallow I agree which is one of the reasons why I said late Mark Spit.

Tailplane's above the line of the fuselage, there's room out of shot for twin engines - is it perhaps a Bristol Beaufighter?

Can't see that it's a twin-engined Richard a) because of the space on the wing so far revealed and b) because if it was you'd expect the radiator to be incorporated with the engine and not separate, though I can think of examples where this wasn't so......so I'm probably talking rubbish!!

Definatley no room for twin engines (i hope). Still going for 109 variant, but going to include ME109 Buchon.

It's good to see that Max is giving other people a chance to answer. Although he could give me all year and I wouldn't get it right.
