Operation Identification Challenge 7

Post by K4KittyCrew »

Where am I, and what date did the RAF have a very successful operation and that local reports state that a firestorm occurred.

Too much clutter for me John, can't make out any significant details to work on.

Now, either i'm imagining things, or John has played a slightly crafty one here  , because i'm pretty sure i've got it. I'm going for Bremen, 18/19th August 44.
Well, looks like the prize goes to you Upkeep, and i "was" imagining things, i looked at Bremen and found that if turned Johns photo 180 degees clockwise, there was a similar look about it, as i thought the dark patch projecting from the right was water

It's definitely Stuttgart, but I'd go for 25/26 July 1944.

John, is it possible for you to take off the extra details from the picture so that is less confusing, or is this part of the puzzle.

Hi Kerry,

Unfortunately, I do not know how to remove or the coloured tags. the picture come from 'google earth' and I haven't been able to remove them. I can only suggest you look at the patterns of the landscape, ie: rivers layouts etc to try and identify the 'city'.

John
On the left hand side there should be a tab titled "Layers". Make sure they are all unchecked.

We're just happy that an 'umble Flight Sergeant and F/O (not sure what that stands for but I'm sure Parky will tell me) are able to advise the ACM. ;)
