Dear forum members,
Recently, we had a gentleman by the name of Clive Watson join the Stirling Aircraft Society Forum. Clive's father Ken flew in a number of aircraft, including Short Stirlings. Clive has collated his fathers' logbooks and photos and has pass them onto myself to post here on the forum. This is the most comprehensive logbook and details I personally, have ever come across.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Clive and the Watson family for allowing us to view these details and have them here on the forum, as a lasting tribute to a remarkable man.
Like all crew members of Bomber Command, we thank Flight Engineer Ken Watson for his valued contribution.
The list starts of with various crew / squadron photos, continues through the various logbooks and is completed with even more photos and details. (ALL 132 PAGES! )
Regards,
John

Well!! the word fantastic comes to mind, thanks for posting this information.
There is no paralell in warfare, to such courage and determination in the face of danger, over so long a period. Such devotion, should never be forgotten.

Wonderful stuff, and many thanks to Clive for sharing such a mine of information. Loved the august '44 comment of 'useless circuits' in and amongst all the more interesting stuff! And the Arnhem comment of '10/10ths flak and fighters'! There's also a wonderful photo of Shackletons over the test match ground at Galle, Sri Lanke (Colombo).
Great stuff, many thanks for posting.
