Well John, after your comment, I went straight to 'Rolls Royce / Merlin, but to no avail. I then went to Armstrong and Whitworth ............ followed by Bristol, etc ................
After so much effort, I've been forced to retire to the 'watering hole' ........... purely for medicinal purposes and to re-group.

Certainly looks a bit of a beast. Would i be right in thinking that this is a 30's design, given the type of wheel housing shown. And i'm still no further forward in identifying it
