Awarded Distinguished Flying Medal and was in attack that sunk the Tirpitz
Died aged 90 and undertaker is appealing for mourners to attend his funeral
Wife died 18 months ago, he had no children, and brothers are too old to go

Unfortunately, this seems to be an all too common headline lately, but fortunately, always seems to get a good result in the end.
There is no paralell in warfare, to such courage and determination in the face of danger, over so long a period. Such devotion, should never be forgotten.
