Anybody know where or how I can get a combat report for the loss of this a'c. I have a conundrum about it. I'm led to believe that Hans-Karl kamp of 7/NJG4 shot it down over Montmirail, France, at 1928hrs on the 11th March 1943. I have been told that a German Radar crew witnessed the combat and that the Stirling crashed near them at Minaucourt. My problem is that the two towns are approx 100km apart so I do not know how they could have witnessed it if the action took place over Montmirail as claimed by Kamp. Any help greatly appreciated.

From over in our 'Reseach' section ............... Luftwaffe data records, scroll down to the 11th March 1943.
( Note - these records can be very accurate or quite the opposite )

Hi John
Thanks for the reply. I have that info to hand already but the only conclusion I can make is that that Kamp was incorrect as to where the attack took place. If I had a copy of the combat report I can compare it to what I've been told previously and if that tallies then I'd know.
