It is with great sadness that I learned that Ken Frere had left us.
I had the privilege to be invited at the home of Ken in 2005 and we together visited D-Day RAF Station Harwell and RAF Benson (Where I remember that his WW2 medals impressed his good friend who was Squadron Leader!).
Ken was very tall but for me he was mainly very impressive by his kindness.
