A few years ago, I received an email from Michael McKenna.

I thank Michael very much to allow me to publish the documents on the Forum.I [...]made up two albums compiled by my mother Barbara McKenna ( nee Morrison, Kingston,Ontario, Canada) that I acquired on her death on June 2005.The bulk of the information focusses on my father, Group Captain Gerald McKenna,D.F.C,C.D.,Commanding Officer of the 420 in England 1943-1944. His hometown was Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and died in 1972 .
The transmission will be titled "Michael McKenna/You Send It"
I have reproduced the albums on paper and on cd because they contain many pictures and articles on crews, parties, nose art,Tholthorpe civilians and other documents. There is also a BBC French radio script in French and English telling of the Snowy Owl's exploits which was beamed into occupied Europe.I also have, if anyone is interested, a tape of a radio interview of my father done by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation after a raid on submarine pens in Norway.
My initial inspiration for doing this was learning through correspondence that some children of 420 casualties have no pictures of their fathers or uncles and my hope is that they may find them in these pages. I am sending the information to a large array individuals and organizations around the world in particular those linked to R.C.A.F., R.A.F.and other Commonwealth airforces; please feel free to forward the information to anyone.

It is my intention of eventually giving the albums and other documents to The Royal Canadian Air Force Museum in Trenton, Ontario, Canada and I have been sharing information and observations with the Halifax Families Association, HaliquestATaol.com (replace AT with @), a superb resource for all Bomber Command crew information.
